LTA Scholarships – Deadlines Extended!
The Lennox Teachers Association is proud to support the continuing education of our Lennox students by offering three scholarships to totaling $2,400. Scholarships and their application requirements are described below. The original deadline for the scholarships was Friday, April 28, 2014, but due to the varying spring break calendars at our local high schools, the LTA Scholarship Committee has decided to extend the deadline all scholarship until Friday, May 9, 2014.
The LTA College/University Scholarship
The Lennox Teachers Association is offering two $1,000.00 awards open to all high school seniors (regardless of legal residency status) who graduated from Lennox Middle School and are currently living within the Lennox School District boundaries. Students must be in good academic standing and must be enrolled in a college/university by the Fall of 2014. Criteria for selecting award candidates will include academic and leadership achievements. Award recipients will be notified by the end of May 2014. Awards will be presented at recipient’s high school end-of-the-year award ceremony.

The LTA Mary Davis Scholarship
The Lennox Teachers Association is offering a scholarship of $100.00 per year for four years to purchase books. Named for long-time Lennox Board of Education member, Mary Davis, this scholarship is open to all 8th grade students attending Lennox Middle School. Award recipients will be notified in June 2014 and the scholarship will be awarded at the Lennox Middle School’s end-of-the-year award ceremony. (In the 2nd-4th year of the scholarship, it will be the responsibility of the recipient to contact the LTA Scholarship Committee to collect his/her award.)
