I would like to congratulate the following folks who were elected to LTA positions in last Tuesday and Wednesday’s election:

We also have a number of write-in candidates for Site Rep positions at Buford (2 positions left), Jefferson (1), Moffett (1), LMS (2), LMS 7/8 (3), and LMSTA (2), as well as the 2 PAR Program joint committee spots.  Write-in candidates will be contacted in order of the number of votes they received (from most to least) and offered the positions for which they were written-in.  If two or more write-in candidates received the same number of votes, both/all will be offered the position, and if more tying write-in candidates accept a given position than there are positions available, a run-off election will need to be held between those write-in candidates who received an equal number of votes.  For example, at LMS6, four different people were nominated as write-ins for two positions; the top two received more votes than the next person, so the top two will be contacted and offered the position, and if they accept, we’re good.  But at Moffett, two write-ins received an equal number of votes, but there is only one position left; both will be offered the position, and if both accept, we’ll have to do a run-off election.  Make sense?  Ah, the joys of elections!  But it’s all worth it to get you your full representation on Rep Council and in the union.
